We are the Newtown Connecticut Odyssey Team.
We have recently competed in a competition testing our creative abilities as a whole. At the beginning of the year, we are given a "long-term" problem. We have to come up with a solution that will eventually become a skit. Following hundreds of guidelines, we make costumes, scripts, set pieces, and many technical devices to work with our "solution." The state competition is in April and has just recently passed. We won first place in our problem and division! The world championship in Iowa is very expensive and difficult to get to. Just achieving the chance to go to world finals is amazing. We are asking that you help us reach our goal by donating. The money would be used for everything from plane tickets to competition entrance fees. The competition entrance fee is $3000 alone. Not a dollar donated would be wasted. Plane tickets cost nearly $500, sometimes even more. This is a big part of our fundraising. We will need the funding by June 10th, 2016. We would be so grateful to you if you donated. We have been hoping to win this competition for over three years. Now that we have, going to the world finals would be so incredible and something we would remember forever.
