Saving Gee Gee

Updated 10th May - Sadly Gee lost her battle with Cancer on the 17th April 2013, her sunny smile and positivity is missed terribly by all her family and friends, but we are determined to battle for a great legacy for her. Gee wanted to travel the world to find alternative/complementary medicines and to open a healing centre/hospice for teenagers/children suffering from Cancer and we have taken this battle on and will keep fundraising until we fulfil her dreams.

Please share her story and lets find that miracle for all that follow her footsteps...

As Gee said "If you can't get a miracle become one" ... She will always be our miracle..

Original Text - My 18 year old daughter Georgina, (better known as Gee Gee) was diagnosed in early 2012 with a rare form of Cancer known as Rhabdomyosarcoma.

As you can imagine this was a devastating diagnosis and Gee Gee has battled with a smile on her face over the last year and a half with many visits to the Royal Marsden in Sutton and also the Royal Marsden in Fulham and Chelsea and has been through treatments including:

Hysterectomy
7 months of chemotherapy
16 procedures under general anaesthetic
6 weeks of intensive daily radiotherapy

We hoped that this highly intensive treatment which finished at the end of November 2012 would have cleared the cancer from her body but sadly during routine scans and tests in mid-January 2013 we have been told she has relapsed with 4 new growths.

Georgina was put on a Trial approximately 3 weeks ago with a different chemotherapy combination. Sadly today (26 February 2013) we were given the devastating news that the tumours are still growing and that she has been taken off the trial. We are now hoping for a huge miracle.

I am researching alternative/complementary options to start immediately and as you can imagine these don't come cheaply, therefore I am asking for help in raising funds.

After many days and nights I am still searching the world for a cure and some of the treatments so far that I am looking at are:

> Oxygen Concentrator for home

> Immunotherapy

> High dose of Vitamin C needs one a week for 6 months

There are many other therapies out there conventional and alternative but it takes time to have these looked into by a professional body, therefore, other treatments will be added if suitable.

Thank you for taking the time to read my plea and HUGE thank you for any donations.

N.B Any monies leftover will be split and donated to the Rhabdomyosarcoma Research Unit and Teenage Cancer Trust Unit at Royal Marsden Hospital, Sutton
