PPA Drama School Funding

Donation protected
My name is Emily Nicholls and I am 22 and I have just finished studying a foundation degree at Newcastle College studying acting. I have always had a passion for acting and that has lead me to take up training in it.

Ever since before stting my foundation degree I dreamt of going to drama school in london and learning from the best industry professionals in the heart of the west end.  I have been offered a place at PPA in Guildford to study their 3yr diploma in Acting for Stage and Screen. PPA is a new and upcoming academy for performers. Their acting course was only founded in 2013, so the course is fairly new and I would be in the 3rd intake so far. The number of students they take on for the acting course is very small so I am extremely lucky that I have been accepted to study their course.

The course covers everything to do with acting such as TV work, classical, contemporary and much more. They also do singing and vocal work and things such as accents (which i love) as well as movement and stage combat and ballet. So it is fair to say they equip you to be as good a performer as you can to go out into the industry.

Unfortunately with my personal circumstances I do not have the money to fund the course myself. The course costs are £7350 per year and then there is living costs on top of that. However, it won't be as expensive living in Guildford as it would be living in London and I have secured a part time job already at a theatre in Guildford to help pay my rent costs. I am eligible to get a career development loan to help me fund my training and even though this isnt the best option I am willing to take it. However, I can only take this loan out for my 2nd and 3rd year and even then the maximum you can borrow is £10,000. I can't raise the money on my own, therefore I am asking for help for anyone who can give it.

Approximate costing for my training would be:

£2450 per term tuition fee costs (Due Sept/Jan/April)
£450 per month approx for rent
£150 for uniform plus probably about £100 for books
£50 for stationary supplies

To study at such a fantastic place is a dream come true and one that I hope won't have to be turned down due to money. I have set up my own mini business creating theatre miniature figures to go towards my fees. If you love theatre and are interested in donating but want to get something in return then check out my page:

If you can help at all by giving something, no matter how big or small the amount then it would be greatly appreciated and mean a lot to me.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you can help in some way towards me achieving my dream.
