The story begins in 1995. A story is in my mind. A story that combined some of my favorite things at the time (the mob, vampires, and Mechs). Now I know what you just said to yourself, "Those 3 things don't really go together." I somehow made it work and even drew and lettered 6 issues. Unfortunetly I had no idea how to get them printed or into other peoples hands.
Now fastforward to 2013. I was living alone, in a room in the basement of an old hotel. I had no windows and when I closed the door it was pitch black. I was really slipping into depression. It was then one day I rediscovered a passion I had neglected for almost 13 years...ART. So I broke out my art pad and pencils and decided to draw one of my favorite characters of all-time and I had never drawn him before. So I started...
...and when I was done, this is what I had, my very first BOBA FETT drawing.
I posted it on Facebook just to show my friends and see what they thought. The reaction was more than I had ever expected. And I was off drawing like crazy. And before I knew it I had people offering to pay me to draw them something and HOOLIGAN ALLEY PRODUCTIONS was born.
Over the next few months I moved accross the state, battled illness and an amputation all the while my art has been the thing that kept my head above water.
Now I have decided that there is no better time than now to pursue my dream and resurected DARKEST NIGHT. And that brings us to where we are today. I have begun working on the first issue of Darkest Night and as of today have 6 issues done and am about to order a Special Edition Preview issue.
I am hoping to raise at least $1000 to cover costs of printing, shipping, and supplies needed for the first 2 issues. As well as help me be able to set up at some cons and network with the public and other comic creators to better grow my footprint. I have included several rewards for those who would like to be a part of this dream coming true. Even if you can not help financially I would hope that once the book is released you would consider purchasing it. And if you can not do that I ask that you help me get the word out.
