GOOD CARE UNTIL THE END
Hi, I'm Dan Kryzer. I just had my 40th birthday in June. I have ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). I am in a wheelchair, unable to walk, and have a little movement left in my left hand just enough to move a special joystick. I am not able to eat solid foods because of the choking hazard. Presently, I get all of my nourishment through the use of a G-Tube. I have two children, Jax and Ella, (9 and 7). At the time I was diagnosed in the fall of 2009 I was given 3-5 years to live. I am going on my 6th year. The thing that keeps me motivated and gives me a strong will to live is my children. It's been a tough struggle. I was very fortunate to have a good job before I got sick and had a life insurance policy that I could use to help pay for my assisted living, but that is running out. Initially, I had used a portion of that money to pay off my house and pay for the modifications to help me, but that's all gone. My expenses now exceed any income I have, and I am asking for donations through Go Fund Me to help me live the best quality life I can until the end. I'm worried about becoming a ward of the state because then I would not be able to pick where I live, and it could cause a real problem for me to see my kids as much as I would like. Thanks for reading my story, and thank you for any donation you give to help me spend more time with Jax and Ella.
Dan
