As most of you know, Chris has been in the hospital for the past ten days ( and counting) for a terrible infection caused by the radiation treatments.
Doctors are currently trying to get this infection treated so Chris can go home as soon as possible.
Chris and Bunny are both staying positive and strong. They have not been home for 10 days now, and the children are staying with family and friends.
If you would like to help, we have reopened the Take them a meal program ( mostly for the children).
This go fund me page is still going strong! Thank you for all of your generous donations! I'm confident we will get to our goal of $50k to assist the family in helping to pay for these long hospital stays and treatments.
We also have another fundraiser planned on November 9 th at The Whiskey Bar at 788 N Jackson at 3 pm. There will be food, drinks and raffle items. Stay and watch the Packers beat the Bears. Kids are welcome.
Chris will not be there, but he is so grateful for all of the love and support. It is truly amazing.
Please continue to visit the Battle for Blazo Facebook page for updates. Please continue your prayers and sharing your well wishes and pictures. Your support is keeping the family in high spirits!
Much love to all who have reached out in anyway.
This month is dedicated to Chris Blaszak and his family. From 03/01/14 to 03/31/14, Spartan Gyros will be donating proceeds from our profits to his family. There will also be a jar in front of our register for Chris. It was brought to our attention from a dear friend about three weeks ago that Chris was diagnosed with stage four squamous cell carcinoma of the mandible, a life-threatening form of cancer, and he had mentioned how much Chris was there for him and his family when he was in need of help. So, we are here today to help out this great gentleman as much as we can. God Bless you and your family sir!
We are here for you.
Join the "BATTLE FOR BLAZO" this Sunday at Sobelmans at Marquette!

What 43 year old Chris Blaszak thought was an infected wisdom tooth turned out to be stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma of the mandible, a life threating form of cancer. After four surgeries totaling 40 hours, the transplant didn't take. Life from that point on was forever changed. Loving family and friends are now rallying around Chris and his family to provide support in his long journey ahead and fight against this cancer. 100% of our campaign proceeds benefit an outstanding member of the Milwaukee, WI, community and his fight against cancer. Your generous donation will be used to help the family with related expenses. A loving father and husband, 20 years dedicated service to the US Air Force 440th unit military police, retired Desert Storm and Enduring Freedom military hero, homicide detective and lieutenant of Milwaukee Police Department of 22 years, Chris Blaszak has been committed to the safety of our hometown community and its people. His exhausting efforts to keep our communities safe has allowed our children, mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters to feel more secure knowing that people like Chris fight and win the battle for us every day. Now it's our turn to fight and win the battle for Chris.
Chris, I'm fighting cancer myself. I wish I could do more for you and the family.
Keep up the fight with me as your wing man. We can beat this foe and debrief together one day soon.
Good luck my friend,
