Capturing Real Experiences

Donation protected
Before I get into the mumbo jumbo of what I've got to say, let me first thank you for taking 5 minutes of your time to read this page and for your consideration.

With that said, lets get to it! Recently, I had the pleasure of becoming a father. My daughter Rowyn was born on June 12th, at 2:23pm, 5lbs 9oz, 17in long. As soon as I saw that face, I knew that my life had changed.

In the minutes, hours, days and weeks that have passed since that moment, I've thought long and hard about life. The first realization that I came to was that in the truth of things,I could do so much more. While this was a fact known, I wasn't quite sure how to do so successfully. I've picked up odd jobs, done focus groups, and lucked out to have family who have helped along the way. But what could I do to make that easier? Welp, the answer was right under my nose.

In the short time after I decided to share my personal photo project, "Our Road to Rowyn" on both my Facebook and blog, Dad It's Ok!, I was given some very kind compliments and strong reinforcements that maybe I had an eye for this, and maybe I should do it more often.

I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this story, so I'm going to tie this up.

What I want to do is take this opportunity that's presented itself to knock out some things on my checklist. First and foremost, I'm going to (hopefully) get the opportunity to be a part of some special moments in other's lives. I hope to capture raw moments, when things are relaxed, exciting, new, and real. I'm not trying to be a wedding photographer or portrait photographer, or any specific type of photographer. I'm hoping to be what I would like to think of as an 'Experience' photographer. I want to capture the intimate moments that most people haven't had the opportunity of capturing before. The babies first bath, a child's birthday, a friends first gig, the birth experience, and all the other things in between.

Second, I would be helping the bottom line. Helping to pay for those diapers, bibs, bottles, and burp cloths, while doing something I enjoy. I would also be building my skills as a photographer, possibly upgrading some of my gear, and building my portfolio along the way to something I hope can become a big part of my life down the road.

If you have questions, just ask. Send me a message. Shoot me a text. Email me. Whatever is most convenient for you.

The rewards are the main option I hope most will take and I look forward to experiencing with those interested. Again, thank you for taking a minute to read and consider! Please feel free to share this link via Facebook, Twitter, etc. with anyone you think may want to take advantage of the great pricing and opportunity!
