ASBESTOS IN OUR HOME NEED TO MOVE

We are Cam DragonCloude and Ivon Wells and we have two awesome kids, 18 months and almost 14 years old and two super chill cats. I am a Disabled Marine Corps Veteran and Nationally Board Certified Holistic Health Practitioner and Ivon is a Private Caterer (Excellent food BTW) and Bridal Consultant.  We're currently renting a 3 bed 2 bath house in North Las Vegas and we are in dire straits. We only need money for immediate moving expenses as asbestos was found in our home a few days ago. We know we have legal privileges we can and are using.  Yet these remedies take more time than we are willing stay in this house to jeopardize our family's health and safety. We are not behind on our rent and never have been.

The management company finally addressed our kitchen remodel concerns, after months of requests, as it was literally falling to the ground. Upon removal of the cabinets last week, old plaster and insulation was discovered and caused a bit of concern to the installers and myself. Long story short, the wall was tested and tested positive for asbestos. It was sealed up but there are still exposed places covered with tape as a temporary barrier in the home.  The management company is now asking us to pay $1,000 for the asbestos air testing.  None of any monies received will go to that. City code enforcement came in our home yesterday morning and said they could actually post this place to close it up today and no one be allowed to enter. They are actually giving us an opportunity to move as quickly as possible for the safety of our family.

We are solely in need of moving costs and need to leave within 3-7 days.

I had to set my Marine Corps Pride completely aside as my family's safety takes precedence over that right now. We've been to six different organizations today alone that  say they don't assist people in our situation,  or I make too much money for them to help us. Doing our best to stay positive. Heck, moving is stressful even when it's planned! 

$2,000 will cover first months rent + deposit, $500 will cover rental truck and movers. This is all we really need. We thank you for your time, consideration and contributions. Many Blessings!
