It is difficult to imagine in almost two weeks Brooke will have been gone one year. We continue to be amazed and honored by awards she receives and how much the community has been effected by the loss of Brooke and Jordyn. We hope to see all of you on August 9th to stand up against drunk driving and remember Brooke and Jordyn. Any donations will be combined and donated to the Children's Lunchbox in Brooke's memory. We cannot express our sincere appreciation for the support the community has shown to us and the Durr family during this past year. We need to take a stand, to ensure no one else suffers this horrible experience of losing a loved by a preventable act! Thank you Gary, Shanna & Brody McPheters

We were lucky to have her for 15 wonderful years and as someone put it, "Brooke was always HAPPY", we truly believe that.

We cannot thank you enough for your generosity. We have reached our initial goal of $10,000 in less than 10 days. We know Brooke would be very pleased. We have gone ahead and increased the goal mark just in case we happen to be able to provide more support to Brooke's charities and school scholarship. But please know that whatever you can do in honor of Brooke, is appreciated. THANK YOU!
Our Brooke was tragically taken from us on Friday, August 9, 2013. A young,
vibrant young lady all of 15 years old killed by an out of control vehicle
while walking home on a paved sidewalk with a close friend, Jordyn Durr, after
shopping at the Dimond Mall.

Brooke was interested in being a
pilot and traveling the world. She worked for Children's Lunchbox and was
always with her mom helping with volunteering for a number of different causes.
Brooke had that "smile" and the maturity of an older girl who could
mingle with all, young and old. She had friends galore and would welcome anyone
needing a home to her home. But definitely one of her best friends was her mom, Shanna.
They did everything together and had one of those mother and daughter
relationships we all so treasure. Brooke came from a tightknit family who
enjoyed being together and doing things together. Always loving her Dad, Gary, and teasing
her brother, Brody, Brooke was known for her zest for life and her heart of gold -
This fund is being set-up in memory of Brooke with donations to go to Brooke's
favorite charities and a scholarship in Brooke's name for future students.
If you are unable to donate money, please consider donating time to a local
nonprofit in the community (one being the Children's Lunchbox) on Brooke's
We miss you, Brooke. You were taken far too early from this world. But may you
look down upon us and guide us to be as good of an individual as you.
One person can make a change. Brooke proved that. I was so moved at the AFP luncheon by her story I felt compelled to learn more about her and all the wonderful things she did in her short life. My heart goes out to her family and I hope they know how may lives she touched.
