Help Utah's 1st Binational Gay Couple

Donation protected
With the recent change in Federal recognition of same-sex marriage last June, Ben and Endhi could be the first gay couple in Utah to be granted a fiance visa under the newly granted federal rights.

After 2 years and an incredible, challenging journey, Ben and Endhi may finally be united once and for all. Ben never imagined he would be to Tijuana in an attempt to protect his family.

After other non-marriage visa attempts failed they were left with few options.Their hope to marry in Mexico was denied leaving Ben in Mexico Endhi in Indonesia, and Ben's sons in Utah.

With the Supreme Court ruling the Federal ban on Same-sex marriage as unconstitutional they have finally been able to apply for a US Fiance Visa.

On November 18th, 2013, Ben received notice that Endhi's visa was conditionally approved.

They only have one last step: The US Embassy interview in Jakarta, Indonesia. While things are looking up, these interviews are unpredictable. Couples who interview together have a higher approval rate. They want to leave nothing to chance. Endhi's safety is at increased risk now and it is time to bring this family together.

They had expected the visa process to be much longer and Ben had hoped to save enough for the trip. They are ecstatic that the process was much shorter than predicted, but enough savings haven't been earned. The challenges and sacrifices they have faced in their journey has left love strong, but bank accounts empty.

The journey has been tiring, but worth it. In our modern world, love isn't dead and this couple proves that.

Be a part of history, but more importantly, be a part of re-uniting this family.

The cost breakdown is as follows:

-$700 Hotel Stay/Food (9 nights, will take the embassy 7 days to issue the paperwork after the interview)
-$1600 Economy round-trip light to Jakarta from LAX (Ben)
-$1100 One way Ticket from Jakarta to LAX (Endhi)
-$500 Fuel cost to drive home to Salt Lake City from Tijuana
-8% (Gofundme's fees)

THANK YOU

****They will have 90 days from Endhi's entrance to the US to marry. As Utah is not a marriage equality state, they will travel to Seattle to be married among friends there. Any additional funds raised here will go towards the cost of traveling to Seattle and hopefully a pair of tuxedos for their ceremony.
