Bea @ Knowmads: tuition and more

My name is Bea, 
I am 24 years old.
I make Japanese flower arrangements (Ikebana); organize meditation retreats & rites of passages for young(ish) people at Shambhala International; have had quite a number of jobs here and there; love big trees; am self employed; have tried university and found we did not match, and much, much more...
I believe humanity's potential of kindness and collaboration is endless. I want to play a role in the blooming of that potential. I've found a place where I can learn how to do that.

I am now looking to deepen my search for direction, which has led me to an alternative education called Knowmads: Business school for social entrepreneurship
My year starts in February!

Knowmads in a nutshell

Alternative education because it is primarily structured by it's students;
Learning by doing; 
Demands your own inspiration and curiosity in order to learn and does so by:
Discovering and developing your unique qualities
Developing leadership qualities
Giving practical tools on open, appreciative communication; creative thinking; marketing and other skills.

I've been looking for a long time to find a place where my underlying faith in the worlds and humanities potentiel are both recognized and celebrated. A place where I am guided in finding my own path to help enable that potential, and a place where I can connect to other people who have the same wish.
This is what I've found at Knowmads, and wish to explore further. 


Here's 4 questions underlying the year at knowmads, as described on their website:

"1. In what world do we (want to) live?
(Sustainability & Social Innovation)
2. What do I want to contribute/change?
(Personal Leadership)
3. How do I create the organisation to get it done? (Entrepreneurship & New Business Design)
4. How do I bring it into the world?
(Marketing & Creativity)

Students develop individually, with their own learning curve and questions. At the end of the year every student gives a presentation based on these four questions. Instead of exams we talk, listen and give our students feedback on their personal development"


In total I need 10.000 euros. I will be at Knowmads for 1 year, for which the tuition fee is €5500,-
Next to study, I have time to work, which amounts to about 9 hours, which will bring in approximately €7800,- That means in addition I would also need €4500,- for support in living costs.
