Infinite Appeal Charity Fashion Show

Infinite Appeal  is a community service based fashion organization here at Georgia State University, whose main goal is serving the community around us in any and everyway we can. Our members dedicate long hours handing out food to the homeless, cleaning up local highways, collect books and jackets for those in need and assist with teaching language and literacy to the youth in nearby rural areas. We also provide our community with high quality entertainement, speakers and programs such as our annual spring fashion show.

This year we've decided to donate the proceeds from our annual spring fashion show to a local charity we hold near and dear to our hearts. The charity we've selected is the national non-profit known as Stand Up For Kids, whose mission is to end the cycle of youth homelessness throughout the United States.  This organization was founded in 1990 by a group of volunteers in San Diego, CA. Starting from a program in one city, StandUp For Kids has grown, with operations in many states including the District of Columbia, where teen homelessness is among the nation's higest. This organization, made up almost entirely of volunteers, continuously strives to provide life-saving outreach services to homeless, disenfranchised and at-risk youth. Volunteers tirelessly spend thier nights distributing food, clothing, hygiene products & helpful resource information to all in need. StandUp For Kids teaches "life skills" to at-risk youth helping them build a foundation away from street life.

Volunteering with this amazing organization has opened our eyes to the prevelence of teen homelessness, especially here in downtown Atlanta.  Getting to know the selfless staff and all that we were able to learn while volunteering with Stand Up For Kids has made the decision to collaborate with them a no brainer.
