Allendale Challenge St Mary's PTFA

Hi, my name is Andy Metcalfe. I am taking part in this year’s Allendale (Near Hexham, Northumberland) Challenge, 11th April, a 25mile walk, in 8½ hours, amongst bogs and marshlands, harsh terrain as well as often harsher weather. It is generally regarded as the toughest challenge around. As a novice walker, this is a massive challenge I am taking on although on applying, I did not quite understand just what I had taken on. With that in mind I decided to make it a fundrasing event as a motivation to complete what, for me, is way beyond my fitness levels. The picture shown with this is me training to be ready for this.
I am now doing this in order to raise funds in aid of my daughter’s school – St Mary’s RC Primary, Forest Hall. Friends of St Mary’s PFTA are currently trying to raise a much needed £20,000 in order to redevelop the foundation stage playground. I, my daughter and the Friends of St Mary’s PTFA would very much appreciate any small change you would be able to donate.
