NYC Bryant Park Adonis Mera Fundraiser

A 16 year old boy in custody fired shots at Bryant Park on Nov 9, 2013 because his target wouldn't give him a $700 Marmot jacket. His target was hit with three rounds, and 14-year-old skater Adonis Mera (an innocent bystander) was shot in his back. Mera's family fears he will be paralyzed. I had just sat down at Celsius (bar next to the rink) and ordered a drink. The shots fired and we all dropped to the ground. After a few minutes (though it felt a lot longer) someone told us to come inside, and the staff at Celsius ushered us into the kitchen for safety. It was an extremely terrifying experience. I'm lucky that everyone I was with is safe however I can't stop thinking about how that bullet could impact the rest of Adonis's life.


I'm trying to raise money through gofundme for Adonis Mera in order to help contribute to various medical costs that his family will suffer throughout his recovery. Thank you for your consideration.
