Thank you for taking the time to visit my page regarding my endeavor to adopt my baby.
As a single gay man in the process of adopting a child I have an added financial step in order to begin my family. That step and those costs are the reason I ask for your help today. Making such a serious request does not come easy to me. Each person who is willing to contribute to my cause would have my undying gratitude.
Coming up with the large amount of money an adoption requires is not an easy task for anyone. As a single man, paying student loans and everyday living expenses, it’s especially difficult. I am watching my friends and family entering this stage of life of parenthood and it makes me realize now is the time, and I can no longer wait.
Currently I am a candidate to be a father with the Life Long Adoption Agency which is open to and supportive of nontraditional families and has specific options and support for the LGBT community and single parents. Having already completed and passed a home study, the process has begun and I am eager to move on to the next exciting, but costly, step. And that is to become an active candidate. As an active candidate my profile will be made available on the Lifelong website for expectant birth mothers to review and choose me.
Adoption costs and fees do vary in each state as this would be a domestic adoption. The total cost will be between $30,000 and $35,000. This includes the fees for the next immediate phase: $12,000 to become active on the website. The rest of the fees are determined upon my being selected. I will have the opportunity to go to the state where my baby will be born and will be present for the birth. Additionally, it is required by law for me to stay in the birth state for two weeks at my own cost.
I come from a very large Irish family of which children are a central part. The time has come for me to begin my own family. The support of my friends and family along the way has been amazing and I know that support and love will also be a part of my child’s life.
Any extra support in the form of a contribution to my adoption fund would be appreciated beyond words.
