Hi there. My names Sarah and it's my dream to travel the world doing Wildlife Photography.
I'm planning to travel to every single continent. All 7. However it's very, very expensive. I work as a playworker, unfortunately, I wont be able to save up enough to get myself enough money by 2016. Though I'll be trying as hard as I can.
I absolutely love animals, but i love nature and human diversity too! On my trip I'm going to be taking photos of EVERYTHING! Hopefully I'll actually be able to experience most of my journey out of the lenses, but I like to capture every moment, before it flies away never to be seen again.
I'd LOVE to publish a book of my journey, describe the new and wonderful experiences that allowed me to broaden my knowledge, views, beliefs that I had the grace to achieve and the photographic evidence to. The reason I'm asking for a lot is not only to cover the travel costs, but to also cover my equipment costs too. Wild Life photography isn't the cheapest photography root to go down. I am however looking for the most affordable telephoto lenses that will get the job done.
I'll be starting off in Europe! The Northern Lights is my first goal! I'll visit many countries in Europe, updating my blog as I go along so anyone can keep track of my travels! Once I hit Russia I'll be going through to Asia, down to Australia, Africa, South America, up to USA and Canada. The last destination in my journey will be the South Pole.
I've already decided to get a train around Europe; it's relatively cheap compared to flights, ranging from around 300-500 depending on how many countries I stop off at. It's the flights themselves and general expenses such as food water clothing foot wear tents camping gear that will end up being costly. Mainly the flights though!
Basically this journey is going to happen, whether I get funded or not! I really need to do this. It will help kickstart my career in Wildlife Photography which is a very competitive area to successfully get in to. If I can't raise 10k I will go with as much money as I have. I have a TEFL qualification that I can use to earn some money (although I’m dyslexic but that wont stop me!) and I’m teaching myself the guitar so I can busk my way through Norway at least, so I can see the Northern Lights.
If I only get enough money for one country it will be Norway because I can get a ferry over!
There will be rewards for donating! I'll try and make them original and enjoyable. I really want you to enjoy my photographs as that’s the only thing I've ever been good at! (And I could still use some improvement. So I welcome tips on my blog!)
