Hello!
My name is Alexis. I am a single mother to a very special baby boy, Adrian. I've been without a job since January, when my son was born. Adrian was in the hospital his first 6 weeks of life and then he was released into hospice care due to a rare heart condition. The doctors refused surgery since they believed Adrian would have severe disabilities with being born so small. Recently, genetic testing results came back and Adrian has been diagnosed with a form of primordial dwarfism. The doctors reconsidered the heart surgery and found that Adrian doesn't need the first one. He will need surgery in the future but the doctors want him to weigh 15 pounds which is nearly impossible with his condition. They told me he may not quality for a heart transplant but I will do everything I possibly can to fight for it if that's what it comes down to. We still have a long journey ahead but Adrian is now out of hospice care and in home health! :)
I first created this page because my car gave out and I needed a new one. It was very difficult for me to create this page because I don't like asking for help but I really need it. I need to take Adrian to his doctors appointments which are 2 hours away, and I go back to school in August so I'll need transportation to work, school, and daycare. I raised a good amount so far for a down payment and a couple months worth of car payments and I'm so beyond grateful for all of the generous donations!! It's been very difficult the last few months with everything going on and not being able to work and I can't thank everyone enough for all the help! Donations will go towards car payments, insurance, daycare, and travel expenses. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!
