Our Little One

Kevin and I have dreamed of raising a little girl or boy of our own.  I can remember back when I was thirteen sitting in the cool room of the doctor’s office and the white walls becoming seemingly black when he told me that I may never be able to have children of my own. This was because I was diagnosed Alpha-one Antitrypsin Deficiency disease, a liver and lung disease and being pregnant would be high risk not only for me but our little peanut.  

 I am married to my best friend Kevin of 9 years and all we want is a baby to call us mommy and daddy. Living in Arizona makes it tough. To be able to have a gestational carrier (a woman who carries and delivers, but the baby has 100% of our genetics) we would most likely have to go through an agency. If the process was to go smoothly they quoted us $40,000.
