My Fundraiser for Funeral and Bills
Donation protected
Hello. Thanks for reading this.
I have never had to do this before, and I feel terrible that I have to ask my friends to help me, but right now I am not sure where else to turn.
For those who have not been following my story, I have been married for 12 great years to my husband, Paul.
Paul's mom has lung cancer. It is inoperable, and she has other medical issues as well.
The doctors have told us that she probably only has a couple of weeks to live. We made an emegency trip, drove 8 hours from SC to FL, not sure if we would see her alive.
She made it through that, but it is only a matter of time before the worst happens.
This is stressful enough, but we have financial issues that make the stress level even higher.
Without saying too much about the financial state of his family, we are going to help pay for the funeral. This is will be $2000.
To add to that stress, our car- a 2007 Saturn Ion with almost 170K miles on it, needs work. I am very worried about travelling to FL the way it is now, but we have may no choice, and that scares me.
One of the two back tires has uneven wear, one of the front tires is bald on the inside. It needs 4 new tires and an alignment, which I estimate will be $300-400.
Also, on our next to last trip to Florida, a rock hit our whidshield and there is a very large crack on the drivers side, which makes it more dangerous. It is close to the lower left corner so it isn't in my direct line of site, but it could get worse at any time. Safelite estimated that to be around $300.
So we are talking between $2600-2700.
We may have to take another trip down to FL at any time, that is why it is so important for us to get the car worked on as soon as possible, at least the tires and alignment. The crack can wait if it has to, even though if we happen to get pulled over we will probably get a ticket, that will be even more money.
I really hate to ask this, but this is really a hard time for both of us, and the added stress of these financial issue makes it really tough.
No matter what amount it is, we both thank you very, very much.
