Toastmasters World Championship Trip

I joined Toastmasters in October of last year. I wanted the challenge of learning new material and working through the various speaker modules. When the announcement of the Spring Contest came out, I thought, "Why not?" I hadn't competed in a speaking event since high school. "I'll give it a shot!"
After winning Table Topics and International Speech at my club level, I participated in the Area contest. I won that, and the next two contests: Division and District - in both events!
What does that mean? It means I get to compete in the Toastmasters World Championship of Public Speaking in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in August!
Here's where I need your help:
This is the first time Toastmasters has held it's World Championship outside the United States. It's not cheap to travel to Malaysia. I have estimated the total cost for my trip to be at approximately $12,000. The largest chunk of that is airfare. Toastmasters will cover some of the cost, but not all. I'll also need to pay for the conference registration, hotel, meals, ground transportation, clothing, incidental travel expenses, etc...
Having the chance to compete at the International level is an incredible opportunity. I'll be competing against about 90 other speakers from across the globe. Participating is a rarity. Winning would be a lifetime achievement - one that would make a huge difference for me and my family.
