Keeping the Homeless Warm

As we all know, the winter season can be a very difficult time for those who aren't fortunate enough to have homes with heating or even blankets to keep them warm. Because of this, there are hundreds of people who die from various weather related injuries such as hypothermia each year in the U.S. Instead of watching these numbers increase, I've decided to give back to the community this winter by providing warmth to those that are less fortunate. My name is Ashley Flowers and I will be creating "winter survival kits" for over 40 people that will include knitted hats and gloves, fleece blankets and hand warmers. However, I cannot do this alone and would love to have your help!
There are several ways in which you can help;
1. Becoming a volunteer and assist in creating the care kits.
2. Donating your gently used blankets to be given to the homeless. (Please wash prior to bringing them to the drop off location)
3. Donating monetary funds to assist in purchasing the items that will go inside of the winter survival kits.
