Hi! I'm Kristen. I'm a writer, comic, actor, and vice president of a non-profit group called New Wave Feminists that promotes the empowerment and protection of women and girls. I'm also a wife, daughter, big sister, and lots of other things.
In 2011, I met Kenny, a soldier, journalist, and gunsmith. In 2012, on a very happy (and unseasonably hot!) October day, we got married .

Now, we'd like very much to be parents.
Kenny's son Sean is a brilliant college freshman, and we'd like for him to have a little brother or sister.
Unfortunately, nature has not cooperated with us yet. We suffered a devastating miscarriage in the summer of 2013, and ongoing fertility issues, which we are addressing with NaProTechnology.
Also, to be honest, I've always wanted to adopt. My mom was adopted, and so was my best friend. It's something I've always felt called to do.
We've been told by many friends and family that they'd love to help, so we decided to swallow our pride and humbly, hopefully reach out to the people who care about us for support.
We aren't perfect, and we aren't rich, but we have a lot of love to give. Kenny is an excellent father, and I think I'd make a pretty good mom. We have a large, loving support system of close family and friends. I've got four siblings waiting to be aunts and uncles, and we both have a host of loved ones nearby and across the country ready to shower a little one with love.
We don't know yet if we will pursue domestic or international adoption. We are open to a child up to age 4, of any gender or race, and we are also pursuing foster care adoption. We are covering all the bases to make sure we get to provide a child with a happy home.
