Rylees Road To Recovery - Gastroschsis

Rylee Rose was born premature on april 17th at 11:50 am, she wasnt due until may 23rd, however with no fetal movement and no heart rate, it was fate that being to a routine check up caught this and within an hour of arriving to the appoinment rylee was born emergency c-section, she was diagnosed with gastroschisis, Gastroschisis is a rare birth defect in which there is a hole in his stomach, allowing the intestines to float around in the amniotic fluid.  she was air lifted ( life flight ) took her to the childrens hospital IWK in halifax at 8 hours of age, shes having a slow recovery and isnt much tolerating being able to eat, theres some doubt of her bowels properly functioning, rylee has a big sister shes 4 and a half, shes back home in moncton and hasnt yet been able to meet her baby sister, finacially things have been hard, with rent and bills in new brunswick and being in halifax, expenses add up, having a baby with bowel issues means a forever problem when introducing foods, means medications long term , travels back and forth to the iwk, and if anything emotional and physical stress on the whole family.. reaching out at this time of need for any amount of suppourt in any way.. were just hoping to give rylee and her big sister both a life they deserve , through these hard times it wont be easy, if anyone is able and willing to help this family stay as strong as possible it would be greautfully appreciated and mean more than one could imagine if one stress of finacial issues didnt have to be a stress in this time of pain and struggling .
