Memorial Fund For Terry Allan Hall

Donation protected

Early on the morning of Thursday, April 17th, Terry Allan Hall passed away in his home, surrounded by his understandably upset wife Georgia and daughter Katie. It was sudden, unexpected and, like any loss, very painful. Terry left, along with Georgia and Katie; two stepsons; Neal and Michael, who he loved deeply enough that many people assumed they were his own flesh and blood, and had some amusing moments trying to work out the math between their birthdays and his marriage date(hehe) a brother and a sister, many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family, and a small herd of pets. All of whom were left with a hole in their heart that had previously been filled with a singing, terrible joke telling man who took pride in the fact that at least once a month he got mistaken for Santa Claus. No evidence exists to confirm or deny this rumor.

He also left considerable funeral expenses, despite his wife and children's attempts to keep things simple, as he requested. (His actual funeral requests, including a boat set afiure and pushed out into the Trinity River unfortunately could not be honored. His cremains will instead be taken with his wife and daughter to North Carolina, a state that became dear to his heart and he planned to retire to, and put to rest with his father-in-law, who was also dear to his heart.) With the cost of cremation, his memorial service, and the trip to take his remains to their final resting place (which will also be his wife and daughter's new home, as he wanted) the expenses come out to $3k+ and while Terry was a wonderful father, husband and relative, he did not leave anything to cover these expenses.

Your $1 donations will be put to the purchase of a ticket(one ticket per dollar donated), one ticket will be pulled on May 18th and the winner will be given custody of one of Terry's greatest and most prized posessions, the "Terrycaster", a telecaster electic guitar that he customized and loved greatly. If you do not wish to have a ticket put in the pot in your name, please say so. Otherwise you may win a guitar.

All donators who leave an address will be properly thanked by Katie and Georgia with a real, no email involved, letter.

UPDATE: Thank you everyone for your kindness and support in our difficult time. The Terrycaster ticket was pulled at his memorial and the lucky winner is Mr D. Studer.

Congrats, hope it brings you some joy and good memories. Donations are still appreciated.
