Run Fast. Run Vegan. Run for Scott.

In the past I have participated in events to raise money for charities that are close to my heart. This year I have found one that hits even closer. Friend, fellow runner, fellow vegan, and one of the nicest guys you will ever meet - Scott Spitz - is preparing to go round #2 with a major surgery in the fight against a rare stomach cancer.

What better way to salute him and show my solidarity by combining the 2 main passions that have drawn us together - running and veganism. I will be running the Vegan Power 50k on June 14th for Scott, and hope to raise money for his benefit.

Why donate? Your donations will go to Scott directly to help with his post-surgery bills. In life we plan for emergencies and setbacks, but you cannot always prepare for the scope of what is going to be thrown your way. Especially when it involves your health and ability to perform everyday tasks.

In light of what Scott has going on in his life, he still always puts others first. For a man who gives and gives even in times of personal need, I would love to repay Scott by completing the Vegan Power 50k - a race I know he would love to support (and crush) if his body would allow him to. If this surgery goes as planned, I'll race it with you next year Scott!
