On Wednesday, December 16th our friend and colleague Kurt Farmer suffered severe injuries due to an accident at his home. His injuries will require a lengthy recovery leaving him unable to work for a substantial amount of time.
Kurt is a well respected member of our television freelance family. Working as a camera operator for such entities as Comcast SportsNet, MASN, NBC Sports Network, ESPN and many others. His work ethic, skill set, and dedication to his craft are the foundations of his career longevity. We all wish him a speedy recovery.
Kurt is also a dedicated husband to wife Shannon, and loving father to daughter Lily. His family's well being is his top priority. We wish upon them the strength and resolve to get through this tough time, and hope they take some comfort in our collective support.
In addition to his family and work responsibilities, Kurt also spends countless hours sharing the spirit of the holiday season. As his father did in years past, Kurt has taken on the tradition of decorating his home in celebration of Christmas.
Please note: These are not your "run of the mill" ordinary house decorations. This is a SPECTACLE. A plethora of lights, reindeer, elves, snowmen, santas, etc. One that brings joy and smiles to both children and adults alike. Visited by not only the local populous, but people from around the world. It is free for all to enjoy, and serves as a reminder that kindness for humanity is the greatest gift we can bestow upon each other.
