FREE Instrumental Immersion Class

Donation protected
We want to provide FREE instrument rentals, books, supplies, and education to those that would otherwise not have the opportunity. Specifically, this fall we would like to have at least 50% or more of our Instrumental Immersion students be completely scholarshipped. The class will meet twice a week in the late afternoon or evening so those that attend public or private schools may attend.

Many of our friends and family supported the publishing of The Tuned In Musician through Kickstarter. We are now raising the funds for a big push/launch of group classes at The Tuned In Academy for this fall that would include an eight week FREE class for the first 10 students to sign up for financial aid/scholarships.*

Obviously, we wneed funds to do this. Our goal is to be able to provide the instruments for these students (an 8 week rental), their book, necessary supplies (valve oil, reeds, etc.), and the rental of the space.

We will donate our time for this as a service to the community and as a seed for the academy as a whole ($20 per week per student, that's a donation of $1600 of our time).

Would you be willing to support this endeavor? It would take about $2000, but this will cover instrument rentals, space rental (for 8 weeks plus 6 hours), and the remainder will cover supplies and radio advertising.

With our social media networks, if only 25% of our Facebook friends alone were to pledge an average of $5 we could make this happen. Would you be willing to support music education, the arts, and what we believe will be an important long-standing legacy organization in the South Puget Sound?

Beyond the Goal:

Every dollar above the goal up to $2400 will go toward future scholarships/instrument rentals for students. If we can raise $2500, we can also fund the attorney's fees for the community attorney who has agreed to see us through to non-profit status for an extremely low cost of $500. That’s right, we are pursuing non-profit status and you can help us get there. We hope by this time next year to have everything in place to receive donated instruments, tax deductible gifts, and more. Please help us make this a reality, for the sake of the greater Olympia community.

Why Give?

To give the gift of music.

To give toward something that we hope will be far more than just an 8 week project, but ultimately the launch of a non-profit arm of the academy that will raise funds year round to provide top-notch music education FREE to students that would otherwise not have the opportunity, and to supply them with instruments and materials as well.

We have a vision for more than just that however, one that includes music education to the homeless, to drug and alcohol recovery program members, and more. We also hope to team up with music therapists for serving wounded warriors and disabled vets. To provide to a music academy that sees music as more than just a commodity, but service (funerals, chapel services, music therapy, birthday parties, etc.).

*It is our goal to provide FREE music ed to those that would otherwise not have access to it.
