It is with a heavy heart that I ask for assistance for my extended family.
Buddy Leonard was the brother of my sister-in-law and a dear friend of our family.
Buddy passed away at 41, unexpectedly in his home sometime during the night Wednesday evening. He was a single father of an 11 yr girl and 8 yr old boy. He had no health or life insurance and the family is in need of help primarily with funeral expenses as their immediate need.
The children have been enrolled in NHCSD's Make A Child Smile program to assist with their Christmas needs and I'm awaiting confirmation of their acceptance to the program.
The goal has been set at $7500 to start with for funeral expense and to help with expenses of caring for his children's needs. Any monies raised above the needs of his funeral (if any) will go directly towards the children.
