Veterinary Emergency Surgery for Shadow

Donation protected
I spent this morning at the Veterinary Specialty Center of Delaware with my dawg-ter Shadow. She is a beautiful black lab mix and the love of my life. She has been in heat and I noticed her cycle seemed longer than normal and there was heavy clotting, so I called the vet yesterday. They told me to monitor her appetite and if it changed to bring her in. Last night she did not eat her dinner and gave me the squinty eyes as she does when she is not feeling well. This morning, she did not eat breakfast or drink any water so I took her right in to my vet. She has a uteran infection and needs to have emergency surgery this afternoon.  I had to borrow money for a deposit so they would perform the surgery but as a single homeowner, I just do not have the extra money I need to get her the care she needs. I am just getting back to work after being unemployed for several months. I am budgeted to the max and the vet hospital will not accept a payment plan. I already owe the IRS $1900 from no taxes being taken out of my unemployment and being paid as an independent contractor when I did find work. I need help to save my dog's life, she is like my child and anyone who says she is just a dog is just insensitive and does not understand.
Shadow is the smartest dog I have ever known. I talk to her all the time and she truly understand language. She's a fabulous retriever and likes to "work" every morning by fetching things and bringing them to me, even if its a penny or a bread tie she finds on the floor. If I drop the tv remote, she runs and picks it up for me. If I ask her to take a note to her Aunt Dee Dee when she visits, she will put it in her mouth and deliver the message even if she's in another room! Then she will bring me back a note! She is always by my side, never runs off, despite my yard not being fenced in, and she gives the best kisses any time I ask for them! I could be away from the house for five minutes and when I return she howls because she misses me so much!
Please help me save her, pray for her today that there are no further complications and let me be able to get her the care she needs. Anything will help. Thank you.

Additional Notes:
Shadow is now home and pulled through surgery okay. I had to borrow money for the deposit so they would perform her surgery and I still owe a ton to the animal hospital as the final bill was $3444 - higher than the original quote. So paying this back is going to be a major struggle, so any and all help is most appreciated.

Also....while I was at the vet hospital in the lobby waiting to visit with Shadow, a boxer by the name of Dozer was brought in by his owner and friend, Brandon & Tom. Dozer was shot by a police officer in Vineland NJ where they live because the cop thought he was being attacked when he was not - the dog was just running up to him. One bullet went straight thru Dozer's shoulder and the other bullet got lodged into the BACK - let me repeat - the BACK of his head. The dog survived a 90 minute ride to the animal hospital here in DE. The owner had to cough up a major deposit before they would do emergency surgery on the dog. He only had $650 on him which apparently was not enough. So Brandon had to drive home and back to get the money to save this dog's life. My heart just ached for him. I prayed for this dog and I was there for about two hours after he was brought in and when I walked Shadow back to her kennel, we walked right past this dog who was still alive and alert laying on a blanket hooked up to machine on the floor - not the operating table. This dog is STRONG and I pray he makes it. So please pray for them all....Brandon, Tom and Dozer. As a side note, it's situations like this that make me furious that the veterinary hospital cares more about receiving immediate payment than providing emergency critical care to save a pet's life. I hereby swear that when I get past this vet bill,  I am going to start the Shadow-Dozer Foundation to help people in need pay for critical care for their pets. No pet should ever be refused treatment because their owner cannot afford it or don't have the funds on them. I hope to make a difference one day and if I hit the lottery, I will indeed make that my life's mission! This kind of thing should never have to happen.
