Adoption

For some people it is so easy to be able to have a family.  When you are told you have no chance of having your own family it is devastating to realize all your dreams won't come true.  My husband and I have been married for over 10 years.  We both knew that someday we wanted to have a family of our own, we just didn't realize how hard our journey was going to be to start our very own family.  After the first 2 years went by and no success of getting pregnant, we then started using basic methods to try to help us conceive.  That went on for about one year and still nothing.  After going to my OB doctor and getting tested we still had no answers as to why we couldn't get pregnant.  We even went so far as to travel out of state to see a very well known Accupuncturist to try to get my body back in balance.  After 6 months of being treated by the doctor we still were not able to get pregnant.  We decided that we would then go to a seminar for infertility issues, we had no idea what we would be in for after that.  After 5 years and 3 failed IVF treatments with 3 different doctors we knew it was time to decide whether we were just going to be the two of us or we were going to move forward with adoption.  After researching different adoption agencies, we never realized how much it was to adopt a baby.  We even looked in to fostering a child, or even going through local churches to adopt, but we kept getting turned down for various reasons like they don't have young babies to adopt or that we had to be members of that church to adopt through them.  Now that we have decided on adotion through an agency, now we need to come up with the money to do so.  After already spending $50,000 on 3 failed IVF treatments we have very little money to spend on adoption.  It kills us that adoption can be so costly.  Adoption should not be about the huge expense of fees involved in adoption, but about finding a good couple to provide a loving home for a child in need.  There are so many couples out there that want kids that can not have them, yet they do not have enough money to pay for adoption.  We have so much love and energy that we could provide a child with a good, stable, safe and nurturing environment.  After 10 years of trying to have a baby of our own we are short on funds for the fees for adoption.   We are finding out in reality that adopting is more expensive then IVF treatments which is no longer an option for us.  If you would like to help make our dreams of having a family come true any help would be greatly appreciated.
