Summits cancer treatment assistance

Summit has been an integral member of the Heavenly Ski Patrol for the last 10 seasons and unfotunatly is being faced with serious health complications.  Two weeks ago he was diagnosed with a fibro-sarcoma which began in his eye socket and has infiltrated his sinus cavity.  Although Summit is in fantastic shape from years as an athlete, unfortunatly this type of tumor is very aggressive locally.  On initial diagnosis he was given two weeks without intervention.. so not accepting that fate we are trying what we can to let Summit become an old man.  He is currently being treated by teams at UC Davis which removed most the tumor and right eye, and fortunatly radiation is an option for this tumor.  The process is not likely to cure Summit although these treatments will make a significant difference in Summits quality of life and time with us. Prognosis is around a year if everything stays on track.  Summit has affected so many thousands of people in the community and has friends from all over the world....so we are doing what we can putting forth the life saving effort he has earned and deserves.  Summit also had a mass removal in march which was unrelated but he is racking up the costs this year quickly.  We will be over 10k  out of pocket over last 4 months  so reaching out to his friends that can help. Summits been right  by my side through many local fund raising endeavours and unfortunatly now its us that needs a little assistance.  Thank you to all that have been a part of his life for many years he is happy..runs into a lot of things without the eye..but glad to be here.
