Community Playground at Lowe Mill!

It's time to get serious about building a community playground at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment. In 2013 we began fundraising to do just that, and through the generosity of people like YOU, we have raised approximately $7,000 for this project. That's a great start, but the fact is that fun, safe, and engaging playgrounds have a steep price tag and we have a ways to go before we can really consider breaking ground.
Why put a playground at Lowe Mill, and where will it go?? The why is simple; Families come to Lowe Mill, and the kids in those families need a fun way to burn off energy. Our current hope for the location of the playground is under and around our iconic watertower!
Our most important question to answer though is "What?". Because Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment is a community and business focused on creativity, originality, and hand-made, the playground we hope to build will not come from a pre-fabricated kit. We won't be farming this project out to a company that installs generic playground equipment in parks. Huntsville has the artists to build an environment that is truly creative and unique, and Huntsville has the engineers to make sure this environment is constructed to be both structurally sound and and beautifully functional.

We have set up this GoFundMe project to make donating online easy and convenient for everyone, but we also happily accept donations in person during any of Lowe Mill's public hours. And don't forget that all donations given at Good Day Children's Festival go directly to this fund as well!
