Paws for a Cause

On Jan 6th of this year I had brain surgery in order to help fix a neurological disorder call Arnold Chiari Maliformation. Due to setbacks with my surgery in January and previous conditions I had before the surgery I am beginning the long process of applying and obtaining a service dog. This will not only be a aid in everyday living but also a huge step in healing and progressing into the future. Everyday obstacles such as bending down, reaching and look up and balance have now become an issue. There are also issues with sensitive to light and noise and although a dog cannot stop this they can help once the overstimulation happens.

I have looked into several locations to find one that bests suits my needs and it seems like a place called Committed Canine in Illinois works really well. With their T.E.A.C.H. program one is able to work with their dog and since your are the one training it significantly lowers the price. At the end the dog will still be certified.
However, being unable to work makes affording the initial prince of the dog hard to come by, and that is why I am asking for you help. A service dog will not only be a new friend but also a great aid in stepping into a new future where I wish to be able to work and do everything I use to do, just with a little more help.
