 SCHEDULED SOON  December 11, 2015 ....

We really need the donations so if everyone could give $10.00 OR MORE maybe HE could reach THE GOAL to pay the hospital.PLEASE>>HELP>>HIM

My son Bryan Munoz age 25. He  needs a 3rd burn surgery on his neck. The biggest issue that we need to take care of is the mobility issues of his neck. He can't turn his head right or left without having his mouth stretch to the side and when he looks up he can' t close his mouth. The neck surgery will be done December 11, 2015. Bryan is almost fully healed from this really big chest surgery he just had on October 30, 2015 he is doing well. The reason we are asking for help I am just a mother doing the best I can for her kids on a limited income. I did what Obama wanted us to do because Bryan didn't qualify for Medicaid and we've been denied Social Security. So I Got Obamacare which is to expensive more than I could afford so my father-in-law and a few of his friends stepped in because he new it was critical Bryan get the surgeries he pays the insurance premiums. But he can't pay everything. The deductible is so big. But Bryan had to get the surgeries we don't have a choice. That's why we are asking for your help. I'm on Social Security Disability Income with a back injury and somehow need to come up with this still high deductible alot of money at $7,000.00. Anything you can give we will be blessed. We're leaving this with God so we pray we get the money he needs for the surgery. God Bless you all...your friends Bryan Munoz and Stephanie Young

BRYAN'S STORY
Bryan was burned on 8/22/02 after playing with a cigarette lighter early in the morning before the alarms went off for school. We don't smoke I had put the lighter up high enough so my then 10 month old that was walking couldn't get it. Not thinking my 12 year old that knew better would play with it anyway. He said his finger started to hurt because the wheel was hard to turn so he put his shirt over his thumb to cushion it and kept spinning not realizing that with every strike gas was going on his shirt. Then that one spin lit his whole shirt on fire. He tried to put it out but by himself  by the stop drop and roll but when the fire went towards his face he got scared and got up. He said ,he knew he was already dead but he wanted to save his family so he stood under the smoke detector and fanned the fire up so the alarm would go off and only then wiuld he go into the bathroom to splash water on,himself. When the fire alarms went off my husband and I got out of bed  quickly and checked on the kids but Bryan wasn't in his bedroom. We looked in the bathroom and I was horrified at the sight of him being on fire. I quickly pulled off his shirt to the ground  and patted the fire off his hair while my husband quickly got the phone to call 911.  Bryan was brought by ambulance then Careflighted to Parkland's burn unit in Dallas,TX.
Bryan sustained 42% of his body with 3rd degree burns down to the muscle on his chin, chest, back, both arms, left hand. And was in the hospital from 8/23/2002-10/29/2002 even though he was out of the hospital we still had to go 4 days a week for both painful physical and occupational therapy. We also had to go to wound care to get a special bath to check his wounds 3 days a week.
I share Bryan's story not for you to feel sorry for him but for you to share with your children especially for young boys. 70% of the boys that go to burn camp are in accidents involving fire whether it be a normal cigarette lighter like Bryan's story, or gasoline, paint thinner, lighter fluid, paint, anything...flammable  really it seems more so boys have a fascination  and they push the envelope  not really knowing what the outcome could and can,be.. This is why Bryan shares his story he says if he can save one kid from having to go through the years of pain he's gone through and still has to go  through then he's glad he shared his story. And to those that are burn survivors  the one thing I can say is even though your physical and occupational therapy is excruciatingly painful keep doing it and not just the time your in therapy you have to do it all the time in order to get better. Take it from me I made the mistake on a couple of occasions when I was young of not wearing my braces or not doing my exercises everyday and ended up having to have 3 surgeries that shouldnt of had to be done if I would of done what I was told. I know easier  said than done but try everyday and you will get better. My mom took pictures those 1st couple of years and to see the change was remarkable. And to hear one of the doctor's say I was Parklands hardest burn case in 15yrs where I was ,to where I am now I am so grateful  to all the doctors, nurses, and staff at Parkland for getting me to where I am now at the age of 25yrs.

But if ya'll can help me now with this surgery I thank you as much as you can give anything over the $7,000.00 will go towards next year's doctor visits.
Thank you and God Bless Bryan Munoz ...and Stephanie Young
