Falling on hard times

My family and I have fallen on hard times after a year of finally getting back on our feets. Our van is our only vehicle and source of income in our house. My father and I both use the van for our job. But now it's broke the transmission is Shot and its gonna cost us over 2 grand to get it repaired. We are trying our best not to take out loans because we be stuck with them for possibly years to come. I wish i didn't have to make this but I'm for help from the world to help me and my family get out of this tough position.
