Daisy's Hip Surgery

For Daisy's Full Story click on it (please)- I need some help.  I'm a quiet person but I need to talk about something serious - never any fun but often necessary.  And this might be the only way I can accomplish this goal.  We're retired.  For several years we've battled life changing events.  The entire story can be read by clicking on Daisy's full story above.

As a culmination to six years worth of medical issues we decided to bring a puppy into our lives, our Daisy.  She is my husbands companion (no not a trained therapy dog) - just a puppy.  She insists he get up - walks around - and is otherwise engaged in life.

Daisy has a huge challenge.  She has been dianosed with severe hip dysplasia.  The photo shows the severity of it.  Her right hip (on the left side of the x-ray) is only 15% in the socket.  She isn't lame - but she will be eventually without surgery.  She is in gross pain (at 7 months old) and takes rimadyl and tramadol for pain.  Those are usually reserved for much older dogs.  It's just heart breaking.  But she's a trooper and smiles all the time.

This is a challenge for Daisy and for us - it is $5000. to replace just one hip.  The vet says one hip will do and we can contol the other with meds.  She is 7 months old and can't have the surgery until she is 12 months or older.

I am selling off some equipment I have and selling a special pendant I've created.  See Daisy Pendant - it's on Etsy.  Please help if you can.  Every little bit will move us forward to this goal.

Thank You - Daisy, Sharon, and Brian
