John Bailey American Hero

Donation protected

My daddy. John Phillip Bailey. Beloved father, grandfather, veteran, retired firefighter, and the bravest, strongest man I know. Just a few years ago I was given the most devesating news of my life. My superman, my hero was diagnosed with ALS. Not a day goes by where my dad doesn't put on a smile and look ahead. And with this diagnosis comes a great cost. Including medical bills, a new vehicle and home renovations to accomodate his new way of life. And though the VA has graciously pulled most of the weight there is still so much that could not only help but boost my father's morale. To know that you can no longer do the things you used to must take quite the toll on a person's psyche. Though my dad would never show it. Though VA has provided my dad with his own powerchair there is a limit to where he can travel. Through this whole ordeal my dad has asked for nothing. And then almost under his breath he asked for an all terrain wheel chair so he can go in the sand, travel along the beach with family. Stroll his property with ease, my dad used to work on the house and the yard every weekend. He hasn't seen the property in years. I know it bothers him. My goal is to not only raise enough money to get this chair for my dad but to remind him that he still has so much more to offer. Please take a moment to help a man who has never turned his back on anyone who needed help, help show him that, that will NOT go unnoticed. We will never lose hope.
