My name is Kiersten Bell. I am eighteen years old and a recent graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy. I have been involved in theatre, music, visual arts, charity work, science, cheerleading, golf- just about everything you could do in high school, I at least tried to do, all while maintaining a 3.5 or above GPA.
My life has been incredibily tough. I have been in an extremely bad financial situation my whole life and going to Interlochen was something I never thought could have happened.
This year, I was accepted to many wonderful schools, including Emerson College and Hampshire College. I eventually (due to finances) made the choice to attend Radford University, where I will be studying Production Technology in hopes to pursue a career in film.
Unfortunately, my ways of paying for college have fallen through and I will not be able to attend Radford unless I somehow make $10,000, the price of one semester for me. I have some money saved up from graduation, but it's barely enough to cover the price of books. I will be working as a professor's personal assistant for my work study to try to pay for things, but it will not be enough.
I am begging you to help me. I have spent all my life to pursue a better education and a better life for myself and to see it start to slip away is unbearable. I am paying for college by myself and it's not an easy road.
Just donating one or two dollars, or even sharing with your friends, would mean the world to me.
