Un retrato sonoro y humano de Juan Pablo Culasso. Un hombre que nació ciego y que desarrolló un oído absoluto para identificar más de 700 sonidos de aves. Un artista obsesivo en la búsqueda de la perfección en un medio oscuro. Juan Pablo fue el ganador 2014 del programa de National Geografic Super Cerebros, en el cual compitió con las mentes más brillantes de Latinoamérica, venciéndolos al identificar con su oÃído y por su nombre científico a 30 aves, entre 500.
The sound of your eyes... is a touching and sonorous portrayal of Juan Pablo Culasso. Juan Pablo was born blind yet was able to develop pitch perfect hearing, allowing him to identify the sounds of more than 700 species of birds. Juan Pablo is an obsessive artist in search of perfection within a dark world. He was the 2014 winner of the National Geographic television programme Super Brains (Super Cerebros). He competed with Latin America's most brilliant minds, winning by identifying the scientific names of 30 species of birds out of 500, all by sound alone.
Nuestra película, es una road movie de selva, agua, nieve y asfalto. 30 días del protagonista en Colombia, con su inseparable acompañante Ronja, su perra. Juan viajará desde la ciudad de Montevideo (Uriguay) y abordará la exuberancia de la amazonía y oronoquia colombiana, subirá al majestuoso nevado de Santa Isabel y recorrerá Antioquia y la urbe intensa de Medellín para demostrarnos que, más allá del ver, está el trascender la mirada en la geografía sonora
Our documentary is a road movie consisting of jungle, water, snow and tarmac; a 30-day journey through Colombia with the protagonist and his loyal friend, Ronja, his guide dog. Juan embarks on his journey in Montevideo, Uruguay, exploring the exuberant Colombian Amazon and Orinoquia, climbing the majestic snowy summit of Santa Isabel and wandering through the intense urban city of Medellin. All of this serves to show us that even without sight lays the ability to "˜see' via the sound of nature.'

Actualmente contamos con en el 80% de nuestro presupuesto de rodaje asegurado. Para el 20 % restante necesitamos de tu apoyo. Con tu contribución de $10, $30, $60, $250, $500 o más, nos ayudarás a terminar el rodaje de nuestro documental, y será retribuido con las recompensas descritas en la parte de arriba.
We currently have 80% of our shooting budget; the remaining 20% depends on you and your support. Whether it's $10, $30, $60, $250, $500 or more, your contribution will directly help us finish our documentary and you will receive one of the following tokens as a thank you.
