My name is Remy and I've been a nationaly registered EMT licensed to practice prehospital emergency medicine in the state of Alabama for 4 years now.
For 3 of those years I've been working industrial medicine as a safety officer at a chemical factory handling hazmats and random boo boos, but now I'd like to get back into working in the prehospital setting again. In order to do that I'd like to advance from my EMT certification to the Advanced level certification.
I'm currently working towards the requirements of keeping my basic license active (refresher courses, taking the NREMT test again for recertification and the like) which is a prerequisit for admission into the advanced courses.
The certification is considered a "short certificate" and isn't covered under financial aid, and so I have to be able to come out of pocket myself to pay for the credit hours. This is where I need some help. Any little amount will help speed me towards my goal of getting back out there on an ambulance and serving my community where I'm needed the most.
