Surgery Fund for an Awesome Dog

"We need help. Chevy is a 3-year-old heeler and his mouth is frozen shut. He needs surgery, and it's scheduled for April 3rd. It is estimated to cost $1,000.
Chevy has a very loving family who have done their best. He is absolutely devoted to his family. They paid thousands of dollars for his first surgery at the E clinic 2 years ago when he had a freak stick-fetching accident and impaled himself. Immediately afterwards his jaw froze shut and they have been providing vet care for the last 2 years with numerous infections, chewing his food for him, giving him liquids, etc. But he is continuously thin.
He is so very full of life but this is no way to live.
I wish I had a video of him with his parents. He is fixated on dad's every word, is beyond trained and goes to work with the dad every day. When the dog has a sick day, Dad stays home with him. That's where I come in. I got phone calls from friends - not worried about the dog but worried about the owner because he has made himself sick worrying about Chevy.
My rescue side says a person who can't afford a dog, shouldn't have one but they HAVE already spent so much money."
