In Memory of Ray Mueller
Tax deductible
Hi everyone, For those of you who don't know, my uncle, Raymond Mueller, passed away on February 27th, 2014. At the time of his passing, he was a resident atHaven for Hope, a homeless shelter in San Antonio, Texas. I was fortunate enough to travel to San Antonio with my mom and dad this Spring Break, and I was brought to tears by this extraordinary organization. My Uncle Ray graduated from the University of Wisconsin, courageously served his country in the Vietnam War, and taught for several years. Hearing my mom, dad, aunts, and uncles tell stories about Ray and the kindhearted, intelligent man that he was makes me wish more than anything that he had been a part of my life for longer. Circumstance separated him from our family, and I thank God that he found his way to this remarkable shelter./> Haven for Hope is a facility that assists the homeless by not only providing food and a place to sleep, but through programs designed to help them get their GEDs, find jobs, treat various health problems, and ultimately leave the cycle of homelessness. Although $2,500 seems like a large goal, I know that it is more than achievable. $2,500 can provide GED certification for 25 men or women attempting to seek higher education, and just $500 can purchase startup furniture for a family in a new home./> I am so thankful to Haven for Hope for taking care of my uncle. In memory of Ray Mueller, I would like to show them just how much this organization means to me and my family. All thoughts, prayers and donations are very much appreciated. Rest in peace, Uncle Ray.Thank you,Carly Hatchell
