X-Country Bike Trip for Mass Vest a Dog

Please help support Wendy and Casey bike across the country and raise money for Massachusetts Vest a Dog.
Massachusetts Vest-A Dog is an independent, all volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization whose goal is to support Massachusetts Police dogs by helping provide bulletproof vests (their primary goal), essential equipment, training, and purchase of dogs for police/law enforcement K-9 programs throughout Massachusetts. Casey Dropkin is a Bates College graduate and is currently attending Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Massachusetts from which she expects to receive her DVM in 2016. This upcoming summer is her last summer break ever and she decided to make it count. Biking cross country has always been one of her dreams. As an animal lover, future veterinarian, and daughter of a police officer she feels strongly that the dogs who serve alongside our officers deserve to be protected. She is thrilled that her family supports her dreams and that her mother has agreed to accompany her on this latest adventure.
Wendy Dropkin is a teacher at Waterville Valley Academy. She believes that "when your 23 year old daughter asks you if you would like to bike across the country, you say YES!" She feels blessed to have a daughter who is a best friend and has the same outdoor interests, let alone wants to spend two months with her mom. She is thankful to have a husband who always supports her crazy ideas.
Money details: This adventure is taking a lot of planning and expense; it will cost at least $4000 per person. Thus, while the ultimate goal is to raise money for Mass. Vest a Dog, we will use 40% of the first $8,000 raised to offset some costs and make the trip possible. Once this goal has been met 100% of any further money raised will be donated to Mass. Vest a Dog.
Please help the Dropkin girls have the opportunity of a lifetime. Any amount will be greatly appreciated.
