Research for Book on Sacred Pagan Sites

I plan to write a book on sacred pagan sites and places of power (energy) in Northern Europe. An obvious example of such a place is Stonehenge, and a lot of information exists on this topic. I aim to compile information on little known places in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark especially, and possibly also on Germany and Austria. In order to gather information firsthand (and to just "feel" these places) I need to travel and talk to local people. The problem that arises here is the typical one: money.
