Buy A Bale, Fill A Barn

Donation protected
On March 4,2014,  Phil and Teresa Olsen's of Paradise, hay barn started on fire. The fire destroyed 200 tons of hay, a hay baler, and a trailer carrying three four-wheelers, a motorcycle and a side-by-side utility vehicle. The whole 110x60x20' barn was engulfed in flames.

Because there are no fire hydrants in the area, water to fight the two-alarm blaze was brought in on six water trucks. Firefighters from Paradise, Hyrum, Wellsville, Logan, North Logan and Smithfield were called in to help with the blaze.
The barn was located in the middle of a field, so no additional structures were threatened.

There is nothing that can be salvaged, so It will continue to burn, making for less to clean up and haul away in dump trucks. About 400 bales of top quality 3x3x8' alfalfa dairy hay and about 300 bales of good, clean barley straw --same size--  along with the baler, and toy trailer.

All though insurance will help re build and re-supply the loss, it will not cover 100%.
As a tight farming community of close friends and neighbors, we would like to help lift this burden.  Donations can be made to "buy a bale, fill a barn."
Also, plan on attending the Barn Dance to be held April 12, 2014 in Avon at the Hulmes Barn.  Live Music, Bake Sale, Family Photo booth and Dinner will be available.
Thanks, friends, for your show of concern. It is appreciated!
