Help My Unemployment Goal

Hey everyone. Some of you might know that I'm unemployed. I spend about 8 months unemployed after I was let go from my job as an office clerk at a law firm back in March 2013. I had a temp job for less than a month that ended right after the new year. So I'm back to being unemployed, but due to the emergency benefits for unemployment no longer existing, I'm completely on my own.

The one thing that's keeping me going is NCAA basketball and covering America East Men's hoops for Mid Major Madness. I don't get paid for my contributions, but I've discovered how much I really love what I'm doing. Unfortunately, it's an expensive love. Driving to different school in the North East to take photos and cover events live costs a lot of money, particularly gas.

But even if I cut out all of the running around for basketball, I still don't have any savings left since I used that up during my last stint of unemployment and the rest went to the deposit on my apartment. My parents are in their own financial bind and can't help me at the moment, so I literally only have about one months rent left in my bank account.

I've never really found a hobby that I enjoy so much as to want to make it a career, but sports journalism seems to be something worth while for me. I'd love to go back to school for it, but that's not even close to being an option financially. So I have my little articles about a little conference on a decently well known website to get me started.

I'd like to think there are people out there who are willing to help me stay afloat until I can find a new job. Hopefully most of you don't have the chance to experience how hard it is to find a job, but despite the economy slowly getting better, it's still pretty rough out there. If you're willing to donate anything, I'd be truly grateful.
