Gamin' it Up to End ALS

David "Kyr" Lewis was an amazing man, anyone who knew him knows that. Sadly, Kyr was a beautiful person who was taken from us entirely too soon because of ALS. ALS is 100% fatal and few people actually know what it is.

I'm trying to change that!


If you knew Kyr, you knew he LOVED to game. He played until he couldn't, then figured out how to rig something up to be able to again. I rarely ever saw him not gaming.


Because of his love of gaming, which is shared by many people who cared about him, I believe gaming is the perfect outlet to raise awareness, and to contribute to the research of this disease that's cause and cure are unknown. As well as donating funds to charities that help ALS patients and their caregivers to have the best quality of life they can.


To do this, I'm planning on holding a 24-48 hour long gaming marathon to raise the money as well as awareness, give away prizes for donation amounts, and just have a good time.


The only thing holding me back are the funds to get this all started.


When I thought of this, I was so happy to get started and include everyone I knew. Then I learned organizing something like this costs a lot of money.


The funds that I raise through this page will go directly to my cause by getting streaming hardware, creating a website, and paying for prizes. All of the funds not used for those purposes will go to The ALS Association
, and Compassionate Care ALS
, as well as Fighting ALS for Kyr
.


ALS is tough, but together we will be Gamin' it Up to End ALS!
