Amelia was born to Nicole and Rene on January 9, 2015. A beautiful, healthy little brown-eyed little girl. Everything seemed to be perfect and their family was so happy. Then in June, Amelia began to have seizures. She was taken to the hospital right away by her parents. The seizures did not stop...they kept coming and coming often just minutes apart and to this day, they have not stopped. Now, when I say they keep coming minutes apart, I mean that literally! There was a day her Mother was so excited because she had gone 12 minutes seizure-free...imagine that!!! I know I can't! Little Amelia has been moved to Children's Hospital in St Paul MN in hopes that a team ...of experts who deal with children having seizures may be able to figure out what is wrong with little Amelia. There is a great possibility the surgical team may have to go in a remove a part of the brain that perhaps did not develop fully and may be the cause of the seizures. During this entire time, Amelia's Mommy and Daddy have been by her side hoping for the doctors to find a medicine that will stop the seizures, watching their baby go through many different medications, test after test, day after day, worrying, not knowing what is next. Unfortunately, life goes on around them and bills need to be paid to maintain their home during this tough time. Their employers have tried hard to be supportive, but we all know what happens when you are unable to work and unable to bring home the paychecks you are used to bringing home. If anyone out there could help this young couple and their little baby Amelia, it would be appreciated beyond belief. They were hesitant to let me create this page, but as bills kept coming and they are unable to keep up and they need to be with their daughter, they finally had no choice to but reach out to others. Little amounts turn into big amounts when added together. Thank you in advance for anything you might be able to do for this young family!!
