The Brightstar Project

Choices shape lives. The Brightstar Project is a presentation given to students about choices- a conversation with kids about their choices and how these choices don't just affect them. It helps kids take a look at their goals, hopes, and dreams and the effects alcohol or substance abuse can have if combined with those same goals, hopes, and dreams. The Brightstar Project is given in memory of Jordyn Bakley who was killed in a hit and run OUI accident on January 30, 2010 while walking home. Jordyn was a vibrant young woman with goals, hopes, and dreams and her future, as well as those around her, was forever changed by the choices made by someone else. For every one thousand dollars raised, another school will be able to receive the presentation for free. All funds raised go directly back into the Brightstar Project and will also be awarded as scholarship opportunities to students majoring in education. Please support the Brightstar Project.
