I really want to send a HUGE thank you to everyone who contributed to the show at By The Uprights, and the benefit at Taylors Tavern. you are all great people and have a heart of gold. Its just money but it will benefit Anthony when he is of an age where it will help him get ahead in life. More important we need to live Greg's memory for little man to know his father. What he stood for, why he would give the shirt off his back for a stranger. None the least, we have to live by example. SHOW Anthony by example the actions Greg always lived by and all of us witnessed, and inspired us. Its unfortunate only these circumstances hit home and make it apparent how much of a figure that person was in our life. Ill tell you now though, think about EVERY SINGLE PERSON in you're life and the little things that make them them. And don't ever let it go overlooked. Appreciate every smile, handshake, hug, kiss, word, slap, punch, and most important that moment of eye contact. the only moment you truly connect. Don't ever take one moment for granted. It might be the last chance you ever have to say how much you love an appreciate that person. All of us on this green earth don't know whats going to happen at any given moment. So don't look it over.
Hey everyone, Im sorry I havn't posted anything all week. Just got kind of overwhelmed with the day to day... But I just wanted to remind everyone not to stop sharing. Its all about Anthony at this point, I know money isn't everything but lets give little dude a chance for a bright future. I want to thank all the bands that played last night for the support and using their talents to benefit a good cause. I also want to remind everyone that there is another benefit tonight at Taylors Tavern in Greenfield. Hosted by the great crew of Home Depot Greenfield, 5:00 P.M.- 7:30 P.M.
thanks guys. Also on Feb. 7th at the voo in turners falls there will be another event. Not sure on time but I will post details as they com.
So I apologize for not updating as frequent. but as life is I got overwhelmed by work, life, kids, paperwork for my own accident...... regardless. John (Gregs dad) asked me yesterday to say a few word on behalf of him. Honestly I tried last night but i wasn't capable to find the right words, so just remember this I was given permission to use my own words on behalf of Gregs dad. After tonight I do fell like i can.... so here I go, John I hope it is the way you want it.....
We are coping as best we can. Hope all of you forgive the fact we haven't been posting to everyone as much as we can. But the sheer volume of love and support makes it almost impossible. If it were up to us we would send every single one of you a personal thank you and a great big hug. Really can't wrap my mind around what circumstance we are in, never mind pull the mental capacity to put into words or letters how grateful and thankful we all are for everything all of you have done to give us support and love in this tragic situation. We are just amazed to see how many lives my son has reached. With being his dad, comes cirtan territory that I know Greg differently. He came to me for advice, or comfort in time of need. I didn't see the happy go lucky GREG. that you all know. the shwill, the truffle shuffle. just greg we all know and truly love.
We all just cant thank you and love you all enough without being sorry. Sorry that we cant respond to every single person in a timely fashion and thank you more than words can ever portray. really we cannot express the sheer volume of reality. The reality our beloved son reached out to ALL of you're lives. thank you. I could not be more proud to be learned by my son on the value of love. god bless you all. and don't forget not one comment or memory goes overlooked. I will make a formal post for all of you to see when the time is right. when I know exactly what to say.
so that is my rendition of what john wanted me to say for him. I apologize if I didn't do it to the tee.

I hate the fact I'm sending this information. to be honest its just hard still to even wrap my head around all this. But all of you made it a little easier for me to keep relaying information between family and friends and such.... I have nothing but the greatest regards for ALL OF YOU who made this happen in such a short time. just remember,KEEP SHARING!!!!!! even though $10000 was the goal doesnt mean we should stop there.
love you and thank you all for everything, really. im sure greg is smiling his infectious smile upon all of us. just remember though, greg would not stop now.
The world tragically lost a great friend and father today. As you may or may not have known, our friend Greg Ellis lost his life this morning, and with that he left behind an amazing family and most dear to him, his son Anthony. I am setting up this page to help his family with laying Greg to rest and to help with Anthony's future. ALL donations go directly into a fund set up solely for Anthony and Greg's family. I don't know what to say without too much emotion, but even just a few dollars help. Anthony was EVERYTHING to Greg, and my heart is torn to pieces to lose such a great friend and to think about Anthony losing his hero. Please help this family, you know if it was anybody else mixed up in this tragedy, Greg would have done everything he could do. Thank you. You will be missed more than you ever would think brother love ya T.G.
Saturday night at BTU in Turners Falls there was a benefit held to raise money for support of the Ellis Family in Greg's honor. The amount of support was incredible and the show raised $815.00. It was a great showing of community and a huge thank you to everyone that came out to make the event a huge success. Thank you to all the bands that played, thank you to BTU for promoting the event, and thank you to everyone involved for helping raise money for Greg's son Anthony. Thank you.
